So I'm sure you've all seen plenty of magnetic manicures by now, but I really loved mine when I wore it, so thought I would show it to you!

Children in Need 2011

Well it's the main day for Children in Need this year, with lots of fundraising events going on around the country.

My boyfriend's younger sister is having a non-uniform day at school today, as well as taking part in lots of events that her school is holding.  She said she wanted to paint her nails, so I offered to paint them for her in Children in Need style, and below is what I came up with:

I tried to make it match Pudsy's bandanna/bandage, hence all the polka dots!

I don't own a dotting tool, so I actually used spaghetti, and for a first attempt I don't think it came out too bad!

Colours used here are:
Red - China Glaze Ruby Deer
Green - Barry M NP284 Emerald Green
Yellow - Barry M NP134 Yellow
Blue - OPI Swimsuit Nailed It
White - Boots 17 Mini Skirt

Remember, if possible, please donate to Children In Need.  You can do so online, by clicking here

Boots Botanics - Sensitive Skin Calming Cream

Number 3 from my Boots Botanics shopping trip (from ages ago now) is Boots Botanics Sensitive Skin Calming Cream.

It's £6.12 for a 50ml pot of the cream, which is a bargain on it's own, but when you think that it also comes under the frequent 3 for 2 offers at Boots, then you can grab yourself a real steal!

Boots Botanics - Rosewater Toner

I've been house-sitting for a few relatives recently, which was really fun.  It meant I was close enough to work, to be able to walk there and back, faster than catching a bus from my current home, so I got to save some money!

However, I managed to forget my face wash for the second house.  I wear makeup everyday at work, so I knew I had to buy myself one for while I was staying there.  So all-in-all it turned out to be a perfect opportunity for me to try out a new skincare product.

I turned to my trusty local Boots store, and had a wander around.  There were a lot of products that were tempting, but I didn't want to break the bank just because I had forgotten my own face wash!

I ended up getting drawn to the Boots Botanics range as it's very reasonably priced and had a 3 for 2 deal on at the time......well one thing lead to another and I ended up with six things in my basket, but hey two of them were free!

So that gave me six things to review on here!  The first one I'm going to talk about is the Boots Botanics Rosewater Toner.

Lanolips - Lemonaid Lip Aid

Having been blown over by the Lanolips 101 ointment, I have since found myself considering trying out other products in the Lanolips range.

When I clicked onto the Lanolips website for a bit of "next purchase" research, I was pleased to see that more Boots stores now stock Lanolips! Even though ordering into store last time wasn't exactly difficult, it being in my local store definitely made my purchase easier.

Boots now seem to stock the Lanolips 101 ointment and the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid.  I'm yet to see the coloured versions in store, but they can be ordered into store.

Having already purchased the Lanolips 101 ointment, I decided to try out the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid.

Boots No 7 - Calm Skin - Redness Relief Gel/Balm

Until recently I'd never really looked at Boots No 7 skincare, as to be honest I tend to stick with what I know works for my skin (mainly Clarins, although recently Liz Earle).  I have combination skin, that can be very sensitive.  I find that if there is any excuse for my skin to go red then it will, leaving me walking around looking rosy/flushed the majority of the time!

To be honest I can't remember what lead me to this product, all I remember is finding it on the Boots website, and reading almost all of the reviews on it.  That sums me up quite well - I like researching things before I buy them, to make sure I'm not wasting my money!

Boots No. 7 Calm Skin Redness Relief Balm

Boots No 7 Calm Skin Redness Relief Gel (mine says Balm) gets glowing reviews on the website, so I decided that I would pop into store and get one for myself!

Boots No. 7 - Totally Teal

Apologies for not posting regularly at the moment, but getting settled into the new-house is taking a lot of time.  I've also had to up my hours at work now that I'm not a student, so I'm finding I'm tired a lot more of the time because of my M.E.

Today's post is a nail varnish I have been wearing for a couple of days now. Boots No. 7 Totally Teal.
This normally sells for £7, but I had a £5 off voucher (the kind they give you at the tills) which meant I got it for £2 - bargain!

Ecotools - Sustainable Facial Buffs

Wandering around my local Boots recently (I do this a lot as it is right next to work - so great for killing time) I spotted their new(ish) Ecotools range.  I'm sure I've walked past it before, but never really paid it much attention.  Having a bit of extra time to spare one day I found myself studying every shelf in that shop in detail (amazing what boredom can do to you!).  It was whilst doing this, that I spotted the Ecotools Sustainable Facial Buffs.

At £2.99 I figured they were a pretty reasonable price, and might serve well as a temporary replacement for my somewhat manky old muslin cloths.
