Nails Inc - The Donmar & Chelsea

You may remember me doing a post on Nails Inc - The Wyndham & Kensington, a beautiful dark teal with a flakie top coat.  Well this is the other duo I bought at the time - Nails Inc The Donmar & Chelsea.  This is also known at The Lily Gossip Girl Collection.

Nails Inc - The Wyndham & Kensington

Ahhhhh! I'm currently in the middle of house hunting - and what a nightmare that is!  Everything out this way is so much more expensive than where I'm from.  What would get you a 3 bed-house back home, only gets you a bedsit here - so annoying!

But onto something slightly less stressful....nail varnish!  Today I'm showing you a duo set that I picked up on QVC quite a while ago, but didn't get around to posting about.  It's now been officially released - albeit under a different name, so I figured now would be a good time to show it to you.

This is the Nails Inc duo set of The Wyndham and Kensington.  This is known as the Gossip Girl Blair Collection on the Nails Inc website.

Chanel - Graphite

I'm pretty sure that everyone who loves nail polish, will have seen Chanel Graphite by now, but I wanted to add my backing to this gorgeous colour!

Chanel Graphite
Graphite is my first ever Chanel nail polish, and I was very lucky to be bought it by my boyfriend as a treat - I think me oggling it every time we walked past a Chanel counter was quite a big hint!

Andrea Fulerton - Mischa

I've previously shown you the Andrea Fulerton Gemstone Overcoat, but I haven't shown you any of the other Andrea Fulerton nail polishes I own.  Today is the turn of Andrea Fulerton - Mischa.

Barry M - Gold Foil

So, today is Barry M Instant Nail Effects Gold Foil day, following on from my post a couple of days ago, showing the silver foil.

Barry M Instant Nail Effects Gold Foil

There are two colours (so far) in the Barry M Instant Nail Effects foil collection - silver and gold.  Priced at £3.99 a bottle they aim to be a cheaper alternative to salon style nail foils (eg Minx).

Barry M - Silver Foil

My next two blog posts are going to be about two nail varnishes I saw advertised a little while ago, and then had to wait (I hate waiting) for them to come into store!

But as soon as they did, I had them.....and then I forgot about them...until now!  Today I will be showing you Barry M Silver Foil NP 319, and in a couple of days I will show you Barry M Gold Foil NP 320.

Barry M Silver Foil is part of Barry M's Instant Nail Effects range.  This range previously bought us crackle polishes, and now is bringing us foils.

Illamasqua - Gamma

So this is my first ever Illamasqua Nail Polish, well actually it's my first ever experience with Illamasqua.  To be honest I hadn't even heard of the brand until I started reading other beauty blogs!

But when I saw this colour on another blog I knew I had to buy it!!  Luckily Debenhams online store stocks it, and were offering up free delivery, so next thing I know it's arrived through the post - whoops!!

Nails Inc Little Miss Collection - Recap

So, I've somewhat intermittently shown the Nails Inc Little Miss Collection.

To see the individual posts, please click the links below:

So this post is just a quick swatch picture summary of the four colours...

Nails Inc Little Miss Chatterbox

Nails Inc Little Miss Sunshine

Nails Inc Little Miss Naughty

Nails Inc Little Miss Splendid
I loved all of the colours in the collection and they definitely made welcome additions to my nail polish collection.  The application of all the colours was really easy and had great finishes.  I'm definitely looking forward to wearing all of these colours again!

Just remember that from my experience these colours do not work well with OPI Start to Finish!

All of the colours can be seen, and some still purchased on the Nails Inc website priced at £12 each.

What did you think of the Little Miss Collection? Would you wear any of these colours?

Nails Inc - Little Miss Splendid

It's time for the last in the series of Nails Inc Little Miss nail polishes!  Now I mentioned previously that minty green is my favourite colour, so that's why I saved this polish until last and I'd definitely say it was worth the wait!

Nails Inc Little Miss Splendid - Copyright Nails Inc

As before for the previous colours, the packing is the same.  The backing card has images of Little Miss Splendid, as does the bottle itself.

Little Miss Splendid thinks that she's the best, and this polish definitely had something a little bit extra than the others!  Nails Inc Little Miss Splendid is a gorgeous mint green colour, but has a stunning blue shimmer to it!

Nails Inc - Little Miss Naughty

Number 3 of 4 in the Nails Inc Little Miss collection is Little Miss Naughty.  I think that out of the Little Miss(s), Little Miss Sunshine and Little Miss Naughty are most probably the most well known.

Little Miss Naughty is exactly that, anything she can do that's even slightly naughty then she will do it.  I think all of us has that mischievous side to us!

As expected, the Little Miss Naughty polish is purple, a bright naughty purple!  The packaging is of course the same as the others in the collection, with images of Little Miss Naughty on the backing card, and one on the front of the bottle.

Nails Inc - Little Miss Sunshine

Well it's time for the next instalment in the Nails Inc Little Miss collection and this time I've chosen Little Miss Sunshine.

Now Little Miss Sunshine is one of the cheeriest Little Miss and Mr Men characters and this nail polish certainly brightened my day!

Mavala Cuticle Oil - Update

Just a very quick post, as unfortunately one of my rabbits has just died.

You may remember one of my first posts on Mavala Cuticle Oil in which I promised an update.

Well in the end, I found the product to be rather unnecessary. I didn't find it to have particularly amazing results, and just felt that if anything it just added an extra step to my manicure!!!

I do still use the product however, but not as a cuticle oil! I instead use it to help dry my nail polish when I'm in a hurry, by just letting the brush dot some oil on my nails.  That way it still gets to my cuticles (in case it has some hidden benefit that I'm not aware of) and uses the product up!!!

I love it when I can find another use for something if the official use doesn't work out the way I want it to!  I'm now using a hand moisturiser that seems to be keeping my nails and cuticles in very good condition, so I'm not so worried about having a specific cuticle product anymore.

Will hopefully have a slightly longer post on something new soon.

Nails Inc - Little Miss Chatterbox - Refreshed!!!

Well after a couple of days of wearing Nails Inc Little Miss Chatterbox, I'd started to get a little bit of tip wear, but I just couldn't bear to change the colour as I loved it, so I decided to refresh it a bit!

I simply took a cotton bud soaked in nail varnish remover and took off any remaining colour on the tips, added a gold edge with W7 Golden Pearl. I thought it worked well with the lilac/chocolate colour.  Then just popped a top-coat over the top.

Nails Inc - Little Miss Chatterbox

I received an email at the end of July that immediately got me excited.  Little Miss (as in Mr. Men and Little Miss) were celebrating there 40th Anniversary and as part of this Nails Inc were producing a collection of 4 polishes to join in with the celebrations.  Needless to say that as soon as they were released I had mine on order!!!!

I've been meaning to wear them for ages, but I just keep forgetting!!!!  So today, having done the extremes of pink and blue, I decided to go for something a little more natural, and chose Little Miss Chatterbox from the collection.

Nails Inc Little Miss Chatterbox - Copyright Nails Inc

I received mine in really cute packaging! It comes in a plastic box with Little Miss Chatterbox on the front and on a card inside.  The bottle itself is the typical Nails Inc bottle with the silver lid, but has Little Miss Chatterbox on the front.

Now like I've said before, my camera really doesn't cope with blue tones!  Little Miss Chatterbox is what I would call a mushroom colour, with a slightly purple/lilac undertone.  It's a creme polish which was easily opaque in two coats, and posed no application issues!

I haven't got any colours like this in my collection, as I've never really been into the whole "griege/taupe" scene, but I have to say I love this colour.  It's very wearable for work and I can see it being worn a lot!!!  I can't wait to try the rest from this collection!

This colour is currently out of stock, but you can see it on the Nails Inc Website.

Did you buy any polishes from the Little Miss collection? Which Little Miss are you?

OPI - Flower-to-Flower

So having spent a few days with blue, I decided to go for something a little bit different!!  Now my friends all know that I don't come across as girly, but secretly I am!!! But just to shock them more, I've recently started liking pink!!!

OPI Flower-to-Flower Swatch

This is Flower-to-Flower from OPI's Summer Flutter Collection from 2010.  As far as I can remember, this is the only one I have from that collection.

Essie Smooth Sailing and Andrea Fulerton Gemstone Overcoat

Well I didn't get enough time to do any nail art over the top of Essie Smooth Sailing, but I did have time to kick it up a notch!

I posted a little while ago about the Andrea Fulerton Gemstone Overcoat, where I just wore it layered over itself.  But today I decided that I would actually try it over a colour, and seeings as I was in need of something quick, it was the perfect addition to Essie's Smooth Sailing.

This is just one coat over my previous manicure, and was just as eye catching as when I wore the individual colours on their own!!!!

The picture above shows a bit more of a close-up of the "gemstones" sparkling through red, orange, yellow and green!! I'm definitely in love with both of these colours!!!!!

OPI - What's with the Cattitude

It's been a little while since I posted, as I had to move house - which was manic and dramatic all at the same time! I'm so glad it's all over! I'm still trying to settle in, and unpack in my new place, so I thought I would get these pictures up from the other day.

This manicure was done the morning of my house move, and unfortunately it didn't last the day! I managed to chip it like crazy - most probably because I didn't get a top coat on it!

This is OPI's "What's with the cattitude" which was part of their Shrek Collection.  I've wanted a light blue for ages and had been eyeing up Nails Inc Portobello Road, but as it's a Limited Edition, I had really struggled to find it.  But I figured this looks close enough!

Andrea Fulerton - Gemstone Overcoat

I spend a fair amount of my free time reading other blogs, and trawling the internet for interesting nail varnishes.  While doing this, I came across a blog entry on Varnish Me, where Olivia uses Golden Rose Scale Effect 06 as an overcoat.  I absolutely fell in love with this look and went on the hunt for Golden Rose nail varnish in the UK.  They have just come to the UK however I believe the scale effect nail polishes have been discontinued as they are not listed in their catalogue.

Whilst hunting, I came across the Andrea Fulerton range.  Seeing that they stock it in Superdrug I decided to pop in and have a personal look at the range. Wow was I impressed!  So many choices to create some brilliant looks!  I had a hard time picking my favourites, and to be honest I came away with a fair few which I will most definitely be showing you as soon as I wear them (one of which matches the Golden Rose style on Varnish Me).

I was looking for something easy to pop on before work this morning, and the Gemstone Overcoat caught my eye - sparkling away in my nail varnish box.

Barbara Daly - Tea Rose

Well the last manicure held out, until yesterday when it chipped so I had to take it off.  So for today I decided to go for something a little less "gothic" than last time, which was a bit more "every-day".
